If proof of membership is not available, owners and exhibitors will be required to purchase a membership at the show.

Amateur and Youth competitors must provide proof of eligibility for competition in their division. Amateur and youth memberships may only be approved by ABRA and can not be purchase at the time of entry.

Pre-entries require photocopies of registration papers and membership cards. If entering at the event, submitting photo copies for our use will be greatly appreciated. Having copies on file will help us resolve any problem in numbers or spelling that come up during the show and for submitting show results to ABRA.

When you copy your papers, it is a good idea to place your membership card on the lower border in the corners where they do not obstruct any registration information. Coping together will keep them for bring separated.

We don't want to turn any one away, but there can be no exceptions to ABRA policy. Please, remember your paperwork.

Forms for membership and registeration are available on the ABRA website. Click here www.AmericanBuckskin.org or download them on from the "forms" page.

Each horse will be charged $1 per judge grounds fee.

Class fees:

This year brings a new set of challenges to our exhibitors and the Congress committee in the form of tight budgets, rising prices and sky rocketing fuel costs. The top priority of the board has been to keep our show costs as low as possible while providing our exhibitors a quality show experience. In the six years we have been presenting the Congress we have not raised our entry fees, but have doubled our efforts to increase sponsorships and have had fund raising efforts year round to cover the rising costs of this event.

Right about here is where you would expect to see the new and increased show fees announced; INSTEAD we are going to ask you to help us embrace a “Hard Candy Christmas” Congress this year. In keeping with our ideals for this event, we are still flying in judges from across America. We are expanding our show bill to embrace the Amateur Select program and adding an Amateur Select High Point in addition to High Points in six other divisions and “Best of Show” in four divisions. We are still offering circuit awards in every class. But rather than ask you to find more money in your budgets, we have decided to cut back across the board on the dollar amount spent on each award rather than raising entry and passport fees.

We are asking everyone to chip in cleaning up the grounds. We will be emptying our own trash barrels into the dumpsters as well as picking up the overflow. Please help us in keeping trash off the ground and out of the landscaping. Picking up your own mature from the parking lots and stripping stalls (or paying the cleaning fee) before leaving the grounds can save us a $450 in grounds fees and fines. Getting by without the rodeo arena for warm up and additional parking can save us $1000 for the weekend. Please, don’t help yourself to extra bedding, empty stalls and the water hoses, as we have to pay the expo center for everything missing or used. We need everyone to pitch in and pick up after themselves rather then shift the weight onto our regular (and tired) volunteer staff.

The Idaho Buckskin Breeders Association is a small organization of hard working people. We are proud to present this event. With the support of our members and sponsors and other ABRA enthusiasts.

HORSES may purchase a "buckskin passport" for the Congress Event. The passport is purchased for the horse, and allows the horse to compete Friday, Saturday and Sunday, in all the TGIbF and Congress classes for a single fee of $245. Passports do not include ABRA and grounds fees. The horse may have multiple riders, and compete in mulitple division (youth, amateur, novice, all ages) It is non-transferable, and non-refundable. Passports are available for PRE-PAID, PRE-REGISTERED horses only, and must purchased before June 10, 2008.
